A Little Problem with the Water — But Now the Pool is Beautiful

We just finished building a new swimming pool for A J Pizza & Resort.

The customer had been waiting and was very excited to see the pool finished.They wanted everything done on time, and we worked hard to make sure that happened.

This pool was built by our team at Sakon Swimmingpool.

When it was time to fill the pool with water, we did what we always do:We tested the water first.There was a little iron and calcium, but not too much. It looked okay.

We connected two water filters to the water line before the pool started to fill.

It took several days to fill the pool with water.

At first, everything looked fine. The water had a little bit of color, but nothing bad.We added salt, and the water still looked okay.

Then we turned on the pump and added chlorine and algaecide…

And that’s when the problem started.

The water suddenly turned darker, and we saw a lot of dirt dropping to the floor of the pool.

We used clarifier to try to clean it, but it wasn’t enough.

So we had to go inside the pool and clean it by hand — with brushes!We also let the pump run day and night, and we vacuumed the dirt out of the pool to waste.

It was a lot of work — maybe the strongest reaction we’ve ever seen in pool water.

I called my friend Ruben, who knows everything about water and filters.He told me this can happen when there is iron in the water and we add chlorine. The sun and heat can make it worse.

We kept cleaning, brushing, filtering, and vacuuming — and finally, we started to see results.

Now the water looks very clean and clear, and the customer is happy.
