The cost of building a swimming pool in Thailand depends on much more than its length and width. The pool system, tiles, filtration equipment, construction location, ground conditions and distance to the project all affect the final price.

What Does a Swimming Pool Cost in Thailand?
As a general guide, a small or medium skimmer swimming pool may cost approximately ฿840,000–฿1,030,000.
A larger overflow or infinity-edge swimming pool may cost approximately ฿1,050,000–฿1,800,000.
These are preliminary price ranges—not fixed quotations. Every swimming pool construction project must be calculated according to its design, specifications and location.
Is a Skimmer Pool Less Expensive?
Yes. A skimmer swimming pool is normally less expensive to construct than an overflow pool.
Skimmer systems are particularly suitable for small and medium swimming pools, including popular sizes such as:

9 × 4 metres
10 × 4 metres
8 × 5 metres
9 × 5 metres
10 × 5 metres
A skimmer pool is relatively simple to operate and economical to maintain. It still includes all essential swimming pool equipment, such as a pump, filter, saltwater chlorinator, pipework, electrical controls and underwater lights.
What Is an Overflow or Infinity Pool?
An overflow swimming pool allows water to flow over one or more edges. An infinity-edge pool uses this system to create the appearance that the water continues into the surrounding landscape.
Overflow and infinity pools require additional construction and equipment, including an overflow channel, balance tank, automatic refill system and water-level controls. The balance tank must be correctly sized according to the pool’s water volume.
These systems are popular for larger pools measuring approximately 10–14 metres long and 4–8 metres wide. They cost more than skimmer pools, but many customers prefer their clean, luxurious appearance.
Which Swimming Pool Equipment Is Included?
A complete swimming pool requires correctly sized circulation, filtration and sanitation equipment. Depending on the pool, this may include a pump ranging from 1.5 HP to 3 HP, a medium or large filter and a saltwater chlorinator.
Variable-speed pumps are often recommended for larger swimming pools because they allow the operating speed to be adjusted and may reduce electricity consumption.

How Do Pool Tiles Affect Swimming Pool Prices in Thailand?

How Much Does a Built-In Jacuzzi Cost?
A built-in Jacuzzi can be added to a new swimming pool for approximately ฿150,000.
A typical Jacuzzi package includes massage jets behind the seats, air-bubble nozzles, a dedicated pump, an air blower, a control box and remote control. The final price depends on the Jacuzzi’s size, shape, number of seats and selected tiles.
Why Do Small Pools Cost More per Square Metre?
A small swimming pool often has a surprisingly high price per square metre because it requires nearly all the same construction stages as a larger pool.
Even a compact pool needs excavation, reinforced concrete, waterproofing, tiles, plumbing, filtration, sanitation, electrical controls and professional installation. It also requires skilled workers, transportation and several site visits.
Smaller equipment may reduce the price slightly, but every pool still needs a complete working system. For this reason, swimming pool prices cannot be calculated accurately using only a fixed price per square metre.
How Long Does Swimming Pool Construction Take?
A swimming pool normally takes approximately 4–8 weeks to build.
The schedule depends on:
